Financial aid may be available for families who qualify through school funding or other community support programs.
Contact your school counsellor, community coordinator, or other funding organizations about financial aid as early as possible.
For families requesting financial aid:
- Talk to your school counsellor or community coordinator about financial aid options. Many families use school funding or other community support programs to help cover camp costs.
- During registration, complete the Financial Aid Form and choose “Financial Aid” in payment process during registration process to temporarily waive camp fees and hold your spot.
Submitting a Financial Aid Form does not guarantee registration. Your spot is held temporarily while funding arrangements are being confirmed. - Registration is only guaranteed once:
-Financial aid funding has been confirmed and received by Fun Rec.
-All required camper forms have been completed
-Any remaining fees not covered by funding sources must be paid by the family.
Please submit your Financial Aid Form as early as possible, as funding opportunities may be limited.
Additional Financial Aid Support
Northeast Burnaby Community Association (NEBCA) may sometimes have limited additional funding available to help families. However, camp fees are already heavily subsidized through grants and donations, so additional financial aid is not always available.
Additional Resources:
Burnaby Camping Bureau:
The Burnaby Camping Bureau provides subsidies for Burnaby children from low income households to attend a week of summer day camp.
Government of British Columbia Camp Fee Supplement:
A supplement may be provided to fully or partially cover the cost of attendance at a recognized camp for children of income assistance, disability assistance, or hardship assistance recipients or recipients with Persons with Disabilities designation.
