Fun Rec Day Camp

Fun Rec Day Camp is a summer recreation program that has been serving children in our community since 1982. The Northeast Burnaby Community Association (NEBCA) is committed to keeping registration fees as affordable as possible so that all families have the opportunity to participate. This is made possible in part through funding from Canada Summer Jobs and the BC Gaming Grant.

At Fun Rec, we focus on developing social and physical skills in a fun and safe environment. Campers enjoy a wide variety of activities including sports, crafts, music, cooking, and drama. The program is open to children aged 5 (having completed Kindergarten) to 13 (having completed Grade 7).

Camp runs out of Stoney Creek Community School from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday. We make full use of the school’s classrooms, gymnasium, kitchen, community room, and surrounding outdoor spaces.

Each week features a unique theme that shapes our activities, along with organized games, crafts, and occasional local outings. Every week wraps up with a camp-wide special event and a full-day field trip, giving campers something exciting to look forward to.

Registration is completed online and typically opens in the spring.

If a week is full, families are encouraged to join the waitlist through the registration page.
